The Application Process: A Step-by-Step Guide
Our application process is designed to be clear and straightforward. All applications are submitted through our online portal.
- Online Application: Complete the application form for your chosen level of entry, providing personal details, academic history, and a personal statement.
- Document Submission: Upload all required supporting documents, including academic transcripts, certificates, proof of identity, and references.
- Admissions Assessment: Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an entrance assessment or an interview (conducted online for international applicants). This is an opportunity for us to learn more about you and for you to learn more about us.
- Admissions Decision: Following a comprehensive review of your application, you will receive an official decision from the Admissions Committee.
Entry Requirements
- The Eastbay Foundation School (High School):
- IGCSE (Year 10 Entry): Successful completion of the preceding school year with excellent academic standing, supported by school reports and a reference from a current teacher.
- A-Level (Year 12 Entry): A minimum of five IGCSE passes at grade C/4 or above, including English and Mathematics, with strong grades in subjects relevant to the chosen A-Level specialisation.
- Undergraduate Admissions (BA/BSc/BEng):
- A-Levels: Typical offers range from AAB to ABB, depending on the programme. Specific subject requirements may apply.
- International Baccalaureate (IB): Typical offers range from 34 to 36 points.

- Postgraduate Admissions (MSc/PhD):
- Master’s Programmes: A UK upper second-class (2:1) honours degree or its international equivalent in a relevant subject.
- PhD Programmes: A Master’s degree with distinction from a recognised university, along with a compelling research proposal.
English Language Proficiency
For applicants whose first language is not English, proof of proficiency is required. We accept:
- IELTS Academic: A minimum overall score of 6.5, with no less than 6.0 in any component (undergraduate); 7.0 overall with no less than 6.5 (postgraduate).
- TOEFL iBT: A minimum overall score of 90 (undergraduate); 100 (postgraduate).
